
Seaside Gardens was opened in April 2003 by owner, Linda Wudl, a retired scientist who has lived in the area for many years with her husband, Fred Wudl, a professor at UC Santa Barbara.
"A friend came up with the idea that it would be fun to have a place like a Borders bookstore where people could browse and relax with a cup of coffee. But it turned out to be much more than that," she said.
Our 4-acre property invites visitors to take an "around-the-world" tour through spectacular gardens exhibiting a worldwide collection of plant life growing in a natural setting.
This remarkable study was created by twelve acclaimed landscape designers to offer a vision of the changing garden which include Asian, Australian, California Native, Central/South American, Cottage Perennial, Grassland, Mediterranean, Native Wetlands Bioswale, South African, Succulent, Tropical, and more!
